Shipping
Shipping couriers:
The couriers we use to ship orders are: Purolator, Canpar, GLS, and Canada Post. Tracking numbers are provided with all orders. We highly recommend checking your tracking daily, even a couple times a day, as packages sometimes deliver much earlier than the original ETA.
Signature Required Upon Delivery Option:
For all orders $400+ before tax, signature upon delivery will be automatically added to your shipment. This ensures that higher priced orders are handed directly and safely to you. If you wish not to have a signature upon delivery, please reach out prior/upon placing your order.
At the bottom of your cart there is a text box for the option of a signature required upon delivery. If you wish to have a signature required upon delivery, you have to physically type "Signature Required" in order for us to get that message. If the message is not typed, we will not receive that message and will not have your package shipped with a signature upon delivery. We do not charge the customer for this option, it is free. Any other information about shipping or the items in your order are also welcome in that text box as well. Choosing this option ensures that your order is handed directly and safely to you.
Why have the option for signature required?
For commercial deliveries, a courier may attempt delivery up to 3 times before your package is taken to a drop off. For residential deliveries, a courier will usually only attempt 1 delivery before your package is taken to a drop off. If taken to a drop off location, you will then be required to sign and pick up your package at the location they provide within their holding period.
Some customers' nearest drop off location very far and not very convenient from where they were wanting their order originally delivered to. It's completely up to the customer how they would like their package delivered.
Package Got Stolen?
Linens etc. is not responsible for any package once the package is marked "delivered" whether it was damaged by weather or stolen.
If you are wanting to file a claim with the courier, they sometimes want the sender to file the claim for the customer, or they want the customer to file it directly. For filing a claim with the courier, make sure to gather any evidence you wish to use: police report, video surveillance, tracking number, etc.
Fabric samples are sent via Canada Post with no tracking.
We are still not using Canada Post for any orders. With this being said, please do not use a PO Box in any line of your address at checkout. Canada Post is the only courier that has access to PO Boxes, especially during the strike/recovery. We may reach out for additional charges on very rural addresses and if a PO Box was used.
Although we are not using Canada Post for orders, we are using them to send free fabric samples upon request.
