Helpful Hints - Laundry Care

Helpful Hints: Laundry Care

These are not instructions. They are helpful suggestions for laundry care.

Cotton Flannel and Poly Cottons:
  • Always wash your new linens before using them using a laundry detergent.
  • Do not overload your washer or dryer.
  • Separate dark colors form light colors.
  • Wash warm
  • Medium dryer heat
  • NO bleach
  • No fabric softener - try vinegar instead and/or Wool Dryer Balls
  • Oil-stains on Poly Cotton Percale & Microfiber MUST be pre-treated. We find Resolve Laundry Stain Remover works the best. Pre-treating is not limited to Resolve Laundry Stain Remover as there are many other ways to pre-treat.
  • If you wash and dry our Percale or Microfiber without pre-treating the oil spots, it could be harder to get out, as it locks the stain in. It could take many washes with pre-treating with every time to get the stain out, but not impossible.
  • In order for Resolve Laundry Stain Remover to work, it should sit on the oil spots for at least 2 hours.

Tip: to make things easier we suggest pre-treating oil spots while the sheets are still on the table after your client's appointment is over. It makes it much easier to find every oil spot, and that way it is not missed or forgotten.

Expect high levels of lint when washing and drying flannel sheets for the first 5 - 10 laundry cycles. This is a normal process when first washing flannel sheets. Make sure to clean out dryer lint tray after every load.
